Flying Colours!!..
We reached the spot near downtown Toronto around 8.30am; it was -3° C when we left home. There was a thin layer of ice on the surface of the lake and as the sun got brighter we could see the rays of light passing through the rising vapor, then slowly the ice melted and merged into the water. It was an amazing sight. Initially we were
not able to spot a single bird around. Afterwaiting for 45 min without seeing any signs we decided to move to another location, that’s when he appeared like a little angel… so beautiful & elegant… straight walk with a proper head facing towards us. We dropped the plan to change the location and stayed there. I always had dreams about this beauty, a full display of his beautiful wings, flight shots, head on with reflection, freshen-up shot and some more. We gave him time to play around; he flew around 5 times giving me chance to take 5 shots, that too full frame. he rose from the water with his wings pointing towards the sky; it looked like an experienced ballet dancer's elegant move. Since it was the fall, the colors of leaves enhanced the whole scene. We spent almost 6 hours in the freezing cold, but I was able to get all the shots I had dreamed about. I had a wonderful day with my friend Raymond. Thanks Raymond for being such a great company
